Additional Comments
MSFC-SPEC-2492 has been canceled based on the following rationale: MSFC-SPEC-2492 was written when the Space Shuttle Booster qualified environmentally friendly hand wipe cleaners. This cleaner went through qualification but it was never procured or used on flight hardware. This cleaner was removed from MSFC-SPEC-2497 (Requirements for Hand Wipe Cleaning); however, MSFC-SPEC-2492 was not cancelled. SLS Booster will continue to use Shuttle heritage processes including cleaners specified in MSFC-SPEC-2497. These cleaner specifications include MSFC-SPEC-2489, MSFC-SPEC-2490, MSFC-SPEC-2491 and MSFC-SPEC-2945. MSFC-SPEC-2492 is not currently called out in MSFC contracts and should be cancelled.
