The purpose of this standard (STD) is to specify the cleanliness levels and the minimum contamination control requirements (processing, handling, protection, and test/inspection) for surfaces that come in contact with any fluid medium. These requirements pertain to the critical surfaces of parts, items, components, equipment, assemblies, subsystems, and systems used for NASA rocket propulsion test program.
